How to find my production number

I have what I hope is an actual 2000 Ford F-150 HD. Someone told me in another group that there is a tag with VIN number and production number in the center console below the ac controls. My center console does not go all the way to the dash. Below my ac controls there is a power outlet and a pop out cup holder. In my center console there is a cd changer. My VIN number is 2FTRXO7L3YCB02478. Any help you can give is greatly appreciated. My email is richardwlandis@yahoo.com.

    Question

Do you have one of these Harley badges on each side of the front fenders and also in the rear on the tailgate too?

only the later 02/03's have the full front consoles with production # tags.

The 00/01's will need dealer assistance to determine the build #.

Yeah, ok maybe the 00 HD didn't come with the tailgate one.

If your interior looks like the pic below along with the metal spun looking gauges and metal striped pedals then it is most likely a true HD that came with 20" wheels.

Blairtruck is correct about having to find out build # info from a dealer somehow as others have been finding it hard locating that info too.

    Good luck.

I found out that the last 6 characters in your VIN is your production number. Plus you can go to Free VIN Decoder - Vehicle Identification Number Report and it will decode your VIN number.

The last 6 of your VIN is only the production number of vehicles that rolled out of that plant. It's NOT the harley truck number. Many other trucks rolled out between each HD truck built.

My two HD's were #0356 and #1552. One's VIN ends in 89886 and the other ends in 98567.

There are a couple contacts at Ford who can use your Vin# to pull the build #, but it's not always accurate. The orignal owners of the 00's were mailed a gift plaque in the mail, along with a build certificate.

Is there any way to find out who was the original owner?
