    affes gas

So I was during a little research and Ive been told the gas at the shopette is not good for our trucks ..any else herd this before ?? would it be bad if I put a bottle of octane booster every time I fill up , or should I just go to a different gas station...second my truck has 186,000 and I want to clean the fuel system I've been told that the lucas fuel cleaner works very well what are your opinions and suggestions.
    Thanks ahead of time.

Go with the Lucas and stay away from cheap gas. This is what your engine will look like if you don't.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1339211882.735865.jpg
I know, I just took this apart to rebuild it. Notice the black pistons.

I just got everything back today and started to put it back together.

Probably about 15000 miles of blowby, but it is 42 years old.

I got I back the other day:

Well it doesn't help that I used super cheap gas too. That's what happens when you're extremely poor. I mean like college poor.

Seeing as I'm only 36 and didn't start college until I was 33, I'm guessing no. But I was never good at math anyway.

"cheap" gas, or any kind of gas for that matter, has nothing to do with carbon build up.

I fill up on Ft. Belvoir, McNair, Myer, and MCB Quantico. I can tell a difference between on base gas and my local Shell or Exxon. I always run 92+ in my truck and change the fuel filter ever 10k. It's just my a 'feeling', I monitor KS1 and spark retard and can see the difference. In reality, the ethanol crap in the fuel now doesn't lend itself to performance tunes very well.
