It depends how much of a drop. For up to a 2” shackle drop it still calls for a 7621 but any lower than that, especially if you do a flip kit, it switches to a 7856. This is a totally different bar to keep the differential clearance hump away from the underside of the bed. In my literature it never calls for a 7821 for anything other than a Lightning.

His next reply. So the 7821 will work, but the 7621 is easier, thats all.

As for their quick replies, it probably helped that I kinda made a stink about not getting their replies on my way into work

I got my lightning bilstein shocks used from lightning rodder . com for $50 for the entire set, from a truck that had 15k miles on it.

they're only stock on the later model lightnings afaik, maybe 01+? I think they were part of the refresh with the different intercooler/led 3rd brake light/different wheels/different tail lights.

They have a part number on them? Of the two I've found, I'm still not sure if they're even the right ones.

What'd you end up paying for the 7621?

I'm finding the 7821 rear (same one the OP installed w/o problems) for $239.07, then the 7646 front for $186.53 on eBay. The seller I spoke w/ agreed to do $400 shipped for both. Talking w/ him again today, the price difference between the 7621 and 7821 is about $40 but he said he'd split the difference so it'd be an additional $20 if I went with the 7621...but if it's not giving the OP issues, then I don't see why not to just stick w/ the 7821.

As for the shocks, I found part numbers BSN-24-187442 front and -187459 rear for $280 shipped via Bilstein Shocks | Bilstein PSS10 | Bilstein PSS9 | Eibach Springs | Koni Shocks | Tokico Shocks. I was hoping to only have to go through one seller, but oh well.

8 years ago there was a GB here for the Helwig rear anti-sway. Was $189 shipped. When I received it? ... I gave it away! I do understand that they have subsequently improved fit/finish since then. Under any circumstance, they are not an easy install.

How thick is the OEM Lightning rear vs the Hellwig? For me, whats done is done, but I like the idea of everything new as well. I've got all new suspension on literally all of my rigs within a few months of buying each one...just like my maintenance, I like having a clean slate to start with.

I don't know how Summit pulled it off, but I've received the front sway bar at my house, while my mother has informed me that the the rear sway bar and shocks have arrived at her house. Anyways, mine also came in a big white box (front is the only one I've seen), but not all fancy logo'd like yours is

Are people drilling holes and installing Zerk fittings to prevent future squeaking from the poly bushings?
