    Angry Driveshaft help

the center bearing bracket went out on my truck today. I called all the parts stores and they all said you have to goto Ford. Ford doesnt sell just the bearing, they said it all comes as one and you have to order the whole drive shaft. Anyone had this problem? Is FORD BS'ing me? Anyone know something different?

you can use the F250-350 bearing...it is close enough. Take your truck to a drive line shop and they can get you set up. Have them balance the shaft once they install the new bearing.

No problem but Lee deserves the credit on this one. He gave us the part number.

I have the driveshaft out, and center bearing is gonna get replaced tomorrow. Should I replace the u-joints while it is out? Or are they the ones that dont go bad? Which brand should I use, moog or brute force?

if the U joints have play in them you should replace them. Moog is fine.

Is a shop doing it or are you going to try it. Make sure you mark the shafts so you get them lined back up correctly.

Okay, getting ready to have this done and the shops around here say that the bearing will not work...I just have a few questions for people that have done this and those that had it done
    1) Are you just using everything that comes with this part number Timken : HB88107A or just the rubber piece or ?
    2) Any modification need to be done to the carrier bearing or the rubber piece?
    3) Did you just go in and say here is the part and replace it or explain something to them?
    4) How much am I looking at spending...how much more for the u joints replaced?
