    new system

finally did it, well actual its been a few months now lol.

door speakers 6.5 alpine type r components in all the doors, jl audio 1000/1 powering the 12" alpine type r in a jl stealth box, jl audio 450/4 powering the doors. that being said i had to upgrade my alternator, and ditch the craptima battery. now going to be running a singer 300a alt with a xs d3400 battery. upgrading all the power and grounds with thicker gauge. before all this with the system going and the a/c on i could feel the truck bog as the bass hit lol.

Excellent setup! Looks REAL good! I'm sure it sounds AWESOME!!!

I have a similar (but different) setup with the JL Audio & Stealthbox
    XD600/1: Monoblock Class D Subwoofer Amplifier, 600 W
    XD400/4: 4 Ch. Class D Full-Range Amplifier, 400 W
With the XD amps I was able to put both amps into one rear seat compartment.
I noticed you did DynaMat. I found that made a big difference in sound quality.

the dyna mat mad a huge difference. i did the inside of the door with the door kit, and also put it around where the speaker is. the back wall where the amps are mounted, and the floor where the console sub is mounted. when i do my smooth/painted window surround and solid window im going to do the roof. i still want to do the floor but for now its good enough. also you can use the cheaper stuff from home depot. thats what im going to use for the floor when the time comes

Don't do it. That stuff is nasty.

I've used the cheap Peal n seal stuff from lowes in 4 cars, works perfect, works better than the dynamat extreme that was in the trunk of my 97 mustang when I got it, I ended up going over the top with peal n seal for that stuff.

Holds tight, no smell, does the job excellent.

I top it with green 4in1 under floor foam from the mfgrd wood floor aisle of home depot which absorbs even more sound, works awesome.

looks good, but shorten those excess cables! The shorter the run, the less resistive loss.

It's taking 1 step forward to increase cable gauge to decrease cable resistance, then taking 1 step backwards with excessive cable lengths that increases cable resistance.
