Heck yeah worth it. Gotta save up the cash to get the a/f. I can do anything with an engine, but electrical? I am a dummy. Went around and got prices to install one, and they quoted me $600. 200 something for the gauge and then 2 1/2 hours labor...ouch

There are How-To's on here and other sites for the A/F gauge installs. The hardest part is the bung for the wide band O2 sensor. You'll probably want to go to an exhaust shop to have them drill the hole in your exhaust and weld in the bung. Pick out a spot for where your gauge will actually fit in the truck and get an idea of the wire lengths you'll need. There is normally a harness that goes from the O2 sensor up to the gauge but you might have to extend the power, ground and light for the gauge wires depending on where you place it.

All in all the install is not too bad for the great benefits of knowing what your A/F is when going through different mods and tunes. Highly recommended mod!

BTW....which brand gauge are you looking to get?

Drained and changed the intercooler fluid & changed the IC pump to a brand new one.

Note to anyone wanting to do this...make sure you have a bucket ready for the IC fluid...you can't just pull the lines and crimp them...fluid goes everywhere!!! LOL

If you haven't purcahsed that Autometer wide band A/F gauge yet I'd look into some of the other brands too and do some comparisons on the features. Do you want a digital number or sweeping needle analog display?

Innovative, AEM, NGK, DynoJet are a few others. Check with Mike at MAD and see which ones he carries cause I think his prices would be good.

    Good luck.
