He ordered the fine and they sent this. But we (he) used a PC DA for the polish and wax.
Nice and tight
Spent my lunch break starting the exhaust dance -
30 minutes in, got both of the stock mid-pipes and one of the manifolds out (passenger). Threw the passenger longtube into place after I took that picture and before I went back to work.
I hope to fire it up again back on the longtube exhaust tonight
Nice. What LTs are they?
they are OBX. I got the drivers side header laid in last night after work. Dropped one of the damn studs into never never land and can't find it, so I get to ride my bike to the hardware store with one and hope to find another that fits to replace it, lol.
Hopefully the last time I'll be swapping them, my next smog in CA is rumored to be an OBD2 computer hook up check only! And if I end up moving to CO the area where we'll be doesn't have smog testing, woo.
2002 DSG HD #09617 NHTOC Truck of the month November 2012
Ported eaton/plenum/tb, 6lb lower, SCT BA-2600 MAF, OBX longtubes, JLP intake, FTVB, L-spec bilsteins, Hotchkis TVS, 22" replicas. Tuned by Ray McClelland of FTK
Did all the studs come out nicely?
yes, this is the 3rd time I've swapped them for the stock manifolds. I have to swap to stock for smog - but hopefully not going into the future.
My truck has always been a california truck, there's never been any rust or issues removing any bolts ;)

I got gaskets and new stud/nut kit from Oreilly's, its a dorman product. Stud Kit Here, was a perfect fit, and pretty cheap too.
thanks, but too rich for my blood Also can't use studs at every location easily so it's nice to have bolts.
Got 3x stainless 10.9 bolts with stainless lock washers at lunch for under $5 ;)
all done, sounds pretty angry at idle. This video would have a couple revs in it but my phone rang and that stopped the recording, lol.
