    Pics?

    Did you buys Kooks?

Are you re-calibrating for the size difference, if so how?

Source / price on the tires?

    Valve stems / size?

Yah if know... lots of questions, but i'm looking at 4 Hankook Ventus ST RH06 295/45/20 now.

    Best I've found:
    www.tirerack.com - $611.12, Total - 152.78ea
    Free Tire Road Hazard Protection
    Shipping $59.68 = $670.80

    Thanks!

    Not the greatest pics but...:

When I bought Heidi in 2012 she had new Hankooks so I kept them but Hankooks are not my favorite tire. Hankooks are a harder compound rubber that will literally rot off the vehicle before they wear out. They are a good tire if mileage is your sole concern.

I am currently running Toyo Proxes S/T II and really like them for DD use. Much improved traction over the Hankooks, great mileage, better aesthetically... all around a better option.

I did not recalibrate for the slightly larger overall diameter.

IIRC I purchased, mounted and balanced at Discount Tire. Discount tire and most other big name tire shops include new valve stems in the price. If you ask they will also put chrome sleeves over the valve stems for a nicer appearance. I always request they use tape-weights for balancing, I hate the look of weights clamped on the lip of the wheel.

    Thank TJ!

I was so focused on the kooks, didn't consider Toyo Proxes S/T II, quick look up they are cheaper and I do like the way they look better.

    Hmmm... more thinkin to do.

    Thanks!

TJ, Your sits just about where mine sits and I don't have the helper bags on the rear end of mine, do you ever have rubbing in the front at all?

Those pics are before the air bag install. My helper bags are for loads and do not aid in achieving my rear ride height. When inflated to 10 PSI which is the minimum amount recommended by SlamAir to ensure the bags do not suffer any damage the rear sits about 1/4" higher than when they are fully deflated. At 10 PSI the bags do make for a nicer ride quality since I removed a leaf which caused a bouncier ride.
I trimmed the inner edge of the front flares to prevent rubbing but sometimes when the wheels are cut they still make slight contact. On big bumps/g-outs the tires will ocassionally rub the fender liners.

Managed to hit 30K on the truck. Treated her with a full tank of gas. Oh and my Hydratech unit will be here next week. The PowerStop lightning calipers and rotors are here as well.

Too funny Bob. That's one of the first things I did after getting my truck. Hate having the Lift Master opener clipped on my visor. The Homelink works better too!

What if I show up in Belle?

Its good to see the truck putting in work Phil. Time to drop that ***** on her *** and install helper bags to retain the functionality, I'm so happy I finally did.

If you show up in Belle I am sure I can find you a spot. But only because I like you. I know I need to drop it. But I can't pull the Benjamin's outta my a$$ just yet.
