I think the concern is that too much flaking can plug up the IC and you might lose some cooling effect.
I've seen where some guys like to strip the flaking teflon from the rotors while they have the SC off or put in Cobra rotors.
You can probably get away with leaving it alone until the next time you clean your IC and then check it again to see if it is getting any worse.
Which back up camera did you use?
I am having hell of time getting my camera to sit straight/perfect. It is alright and I am looking for replacements. How do you like yours?

Speedo works sometimes. Ford wants $700 for the HD cluster. They can't guarantee that the mileage will transfer either. So, I don't use it. It works on warm days or long drives. I asked a long time ago on LR if anyone knows what the problem is, no one knew.
