Anything I need to know to make the job easier?
bag and tag everthing....take pictures of anything you think you may forget where it goes. Take you time and do it right the first time. If anyone is in your area that has done this before, call them to give you a hand. Use the info on the boards for a reference or jump online if you get stuck. Check out the other boards available for info also.

Label all the vacuum lines, there are A LOT of them!
sounds good bag n label.... how is it putting the motor back in?
The starter bolts are not fun. Extensions and u-joints will be your friend.
Edit - I am assuming you are pulling the motor with the heads on and re-installing the motor with the heads on? If not, and you are using ARP head studs, I believe you need to thread the head studs into the block while the heads are sitting on the block.

Yea I'm doing it at my cousins shop idk if I have to do it outside or in and he has a lift
