Where do YOU buy parts from?

Just noticed a vac fitting that is broken and would like to replace the whole harness. The problem is....No ford dealerships/warehouses in the country have it in stock...

Part # is XL3Z9E498AA . Says it's discontinued everywhere so I'm not exactly sure what ford would like me to do?

So where do you guys buy replacement parts from aside from fordparts.com

If anyone has any suggestions as to how to repair a vac fitting, that would work as well....

just improvise, try some different sized vaccum fitting, and hoses to make it fit, and there is no need to replace the entire harness, for just one fitting....

I think he is thinking that if the elbow is gone now, then probably the tubing is brittle as well and will likely leak too. Heat breaks all rubber down eventually.

Of course, as each section goes bad you could replace one piece at a time until you get it all, but why take the chance of something going wrong when you're on a trip or far from the comforts of home. Most of us aren't mechanics by trade and we need to have our computer nearby to research stuff before getting the courage to go out into the garage and wrench a little!

This ^^ It's all looking pretty dry/brittle.. Might try some sort of a high temp sealant. Its a pretty clean break....
