Has any one tried to do a power lift on their tonneau cover? i have been looking at the blackwood and i think its pretty cool.

Yes, I have seen it done and liked it a lot.
There was a guy at one of the FHTOC Old Town GTG's that did it.
Sadly, he sold his truck and is not on here any longer.
less than 1 second to manually open or close vs 22 seconds to "power" close.
the choice is simple for my impatient ***

lmao.. I'm the same.. can't wait.. its like the power chair for the stairs.. not for me, I'll just walk as its faster
I would think that if you had one of these one would have practiced the timing and would push the button on your key fob to open the tonneau as you were walking up to the truck so you wouldn't have to put down your groceries (or whatever it was you were carrying in your arms) in order to manually lift the heavy azz tonneau up.
It's also pretty cool to just push the button and get in your truck and be driving off as your lid powers down!
To each their own I guess.
If it didn't cost an arm and a leg it would be a nice feature to add. I must admit though, I would hope there would be other choces because the one in the video looks like it is in slow-motion.
I have a remote powerlift cover on mine, its a gaylords cover with a big harley emblem airbrushed on it. i'd be willing to sell the whole thing.
if you're going to go lift, then go big.
tilt bed vice lift tonneau makes it easier to empty.
not the best PIC of the tilt bed, but you get the idea.
BTW, not mine, just a witness
