    carrier bearing

    So I jacked up the truck and put the rear axle on jack stands as suggested. Then put it in netural, seems ok very little movement in any direction and the rubber bushing is intact. Also no noise when i spin the drive shaft

    they all have a little movement. no noise is good. its realy up to you. im mean our trucks are 9 and 10 years old. replaceing it now would only ease your mind. IMO. cause when it does go it makes some bad sounds.
