How long it will last depends on how you drive it, how safe the tune is (not too much timing), and how good the gas quality is where you fill up.

To get from more than 400rwhp you'll also need to port the blower, run a cold air or ram air intake, and do exhaust (longtubes). Those all cost a bit more to do, but have really good gains, a cold air intake alone adds 1-2psi of boost. Longtubes drop boost but add power (and reduce heat/IAT2 temps)

Good advice here. Listen to these guys. Probably as far as you want to go with a stock block and be on the safe side.

Good luck. Let us know how it works out.

maf extender works like a "larger" maf, it extends the usable range of air flow the maf can feed to the computer for tuning.

They're a bit cheaper, a common one is the mafia.

    I believe you would want-
    1996-2004 Ford (All Vehicles)-MAFia - DBLSP-F7373

personally I use one of these on my truck -
SCT BA-2600 MAF SCT BA-2400 MAF [SCT BA-2600 MAF] - $250.00 : JLT PERFORMANCE, Home of the JLT TRUE COLD AIR KIT

It's worth the extra money IMO, mainly because I used an SCT tuner and tuning software so it was no big deal to get the tune dialed right in for the MAF transfer as it's a built in option.
