    rear window rattle

when i'm driving around there is a rattling noise coming from the back seat of the truck. a friend of mine was riding back there and i asked her to listen and she said it was the rear power sliding window that was shaking. is there a way to fix this without spending tons of money at a dealership? i don't know if something is missing from the assembly or what but it's driving me crazy.

Check to see if its sitting properly in its track and if the rubber seals are still good. Hopefully its just off the track a little and that is what is causing the rattle...it the rubber seals need to be replaced it could get pricey if you can't do the labor yourself.

I'll check on that today. It's a power window and I know there are no issues with it scraping or sticking when I open and close it.

Just take it out and send it to me, in exchange I will send you a rattle-free manual window. Just keep this same girl in the backseat (dress her however you like, she's gonna be there a while) and she can open and close the window as you need ;)

PS - Don't forget to send the window switch as well.

hahaha. yeah i think i will just deal with the rattle and turn the stereo up. the girl, on the other hand, needed to get the eff out of my truck cause she is an anoying pain in the ***. that's the reason she was riding back there in the first place and not up in the front.

Can someone who has a 2007 harley with the power rear window take a picture of it and post it or e-mail it to me? I want to compare it to my window and see if something is missing or worn down from normal.

Have you tried looking at it yourself? See if it will flex or rattle with your hand from both inside and outside to determine if that is really where the problem is.

I wouldn't trust no ugly a$$ girl sitting in the back seat to tell me something's wrong with my truck.

Yeah I've gone back there and tapped on it and it definitely moves. Trust me, I wouldn't soley trust anything she said ever. That's why I'd like to see if someone should send me a picture of the assembly so I can compare and see if I've got sealing or something missing.

Did you take it to the $tealership to see what they have to say?

Not that I trust 'em jus' sayin'. I'd take a pic if I had an 07.

Or even look around for another '07 truck with the sliding back glass like yours as I don't think it has to be a Harley edition. If you see any used ones for sale on a car lot go check it out and see if there's any thing different from yours.

Nah hadn't taken it to the dealership yet. Want to try to avoid that unless I have to order something. I'll try looking around and track down another 07 with the power window.
