Reverse wire??

Im installing a backup camera in a friends truck. I know the power wire on the camera is hooked up to the reverse signal wire to power it up on reverse, but there is a wire on the radio that says reverse and it might seem self explanatory but i dont want to mess anything up. Does that wire also hook up to the reverse signal wire or somewhere else?

if by on the radio you mean what will be displaying the backup camera image while in reverse, then yes the stereo uses the reverse trigger to switch the display to the camera.
