I live in Palm Harbor and am planning on going down on Saturday with my 2 oldest kids (14 and 12). I am also thinking about entering the car show for that day. Might do Sunday only after I look into the classes for the show bt Saturday works better for the kids.

Should be an awesome weekend. Many years ago I raced Mustangs and never missed this event when I came down from Atlanta. Havent been to the shootout for probaby 7 or 8 years now.

Wife and I got a call last night for an invite to stay with friends nearby...so we are going down Friday night to attend Sat & Sun. We are going to make this trip in her 2013 5.0 Mustang

Getting things ready tonight....heading out tomorrow. See anyone/everyone going at Hooters for the burnout contest (not entering).

Waiting to hear back from the track as I heard tell the car show price for 2 days includes a guest pass & is only $45.00 Gonna pay that instead of $45 2 day spectator pass that you have to pay twice (Wife & I)

Nope...this was a trip for Amber to bring her 5.0 down to show it off and to get some ideas for things we may do to it down the road. It was a blast being there and getting to talk with some big names in the Lightning & Mustang world.

Nothing to serious right now...going to only do stuff that doesn't void the warranty. Already got the Barton Shifter for it & going to put the GT500 exhaust on there with a H pipe. Our tuner who specializes in Mustangs has the computer unit needed so that if we do anything with the tune, he can return it back to stock without showing it had been changed at all. He said that he has these cars running low 11's with just a tune...not sure if we are going to push it that far just yet...but beef it up some for sure.
