A friend that does chassis work has his floor done by a spray on bedliner place a few years ago, stuff won't peel, you don't slide around working on it, it's softer than concrete, and it cleans easy. $2000 to do a 3000 sf shop wasn't bad.

They started grinding on the floor today. A muratic acid will be done afterwards
Doing the driveway and sidewalk too...just for fun.
nice. gonna be sweet. mind a ballpark price?>
I believe the epoxy flake two car garage price is approximately $1200-$1400
They spent most of the day grinding what they said was very hard concrete.
Then they did almost a soak wash with muratic acid by the end of the day.
Got a 4'x8' sheet of Diamond Plate. Had it sheared into 5" strips for chair rail

Looking great!
Even went with the diamond plate wall switch plates too huh?

I spoke to the folks that are doing my floor about your situation.
Basically, they said the only real true way to fix it is to start over.
This means start by grinding the floor down to the bare concrete.
They said they have "redone" many Home Depot DIY installations.
IIRC Home Depot stuff is actually water based & not epoxy resin.
As you can see in this picture they used two different machines.
A hand grinder & one that looks like a stand up pressure washer.
Recently they hooked 'em both to the big shop vacuum for dust.
They still wore face filter masks for the concrete dust in the air.
Before that there was a ton of dust in a garage during grinding.
The good news...
You can do it over & it can be done with better epoxy materials.
You can DIY..if you want to grind every inch with a hand grinder.
It took them about 3-4 hours to completely grind the concrete.
^^ LOL! sad but true.
I understand that. This was something I've been saving up for. Grinding the concrete is part of the process when they do a floor.
I'm glad I could help. If there's one thing I've learned on NHTOC...It's how members help other members spend their money (GRIN)
It's not always a bad thing. I've learned "Do it once. Do it right." Have they guided me in the right direction. YES, if I listen to 'em.
How has NHTOC helped me spend and save money? I'd post "I'm thinking about doing Choice A".
Folks would say don't do Choice A do Choice B (Usually the cost of Choice B was more than A)
I'd read about Choice B and the Pros and Cons of A and B and usually follow the advice for Choice B.
In the end it saved me doing it wrong & doing it over. I call it "The high cost of saving money". It saved me $$!
The cheapest isn't always the least expensive and the most expensive isn't always the best. "Doing it right the first time saves $$."
Driveway finished and yepper...2 for 2 on the morning paper.
