    Some final touches...

Finished the Atlas Matador insulation in the garage door panels.

I found the garage door needed to be adjusted after adding the 15+ lbs
I had the garage door adjusted, replaced the rollers and replaced the opener.
I used the Chamberlain 3/4-HP MyQ Battery Backup Belt Garage Door Opener.
The MyQ technology is awesome. Open/close and turn on/off lights via iPhone.
All I can say is...what a difference! Now I know why they call it a Whisper drive.

I attached a MyQ Internet Gateway and remote light controls.
This is pretty kewl stuff from a garage door opener!

"MyQ enabled Lamp Controls device simply plugs into any wall outlet and allows
you to control any lamp or small appliance TV etc. in the home. Use the included
key chain remote or flip the switch from far and away with the MyQ Home Control
Smartphone App available for Apple and Android devices.
    "

"Chamberlain® products enabled with MyQ® technology now allow you the ability
to easily control your garage door opener, outdoor lights and house lamps with
your smartphone*. This innovative new feature awards you amazing convenience
and incredible peace of mind as you can now monitor any MyQ enabled product
from near or far with the MyQ Home Control app on your smartphone*
    ."

From anywhere in the world, with an Internet Gateway and
the MyQ Home Control Smartphone App you’re able to:

    • Monitor and control your garage door opener and lights
    • Get notified if your garage door opens or if a light was left on
    • Know if your garage door opened while you were away

I have now hooked up my garage door to my alarm system via alarm.com

"The only interactive security platform to provide fully integrated control for your
garage doors, Alarm.com lets you easily manage, monitor and control your garage
doors through our mobile app. Fully integrated with Alarm.com’s Interactive Security
and Home Automation system, you can manage your garage doors automatically and
on-demand. You’ll never have to wonder if you left the garage door open again.

The choices were, belt, screw or chain. The belt drive is super quiet. I can barely here the door open and yes it's quick.

There is a package keypad/gateway that attaches to the opener you have that enables MyQ technology and the app.

I am certain that you know why we have belt-driven H-Ds? Ha! ... I remember 1981!! ... Belt-drive is good!

Must say that your garage is SWEET!

I, likewise, find it very convenient to exercise all the "techno-gizmos" directly from my wife's car as we approach the house!

Then we are all only about 30-years apart?

First year that H-D introduced belt-drive was on the "Sturgis model" in 1981. Now all H-Ds are belt-driven and are very smooth compared to the "old" ones before 1981 ! Ha!
