Best solution to level my 2008 HD F150 AWD

I have a 2008 HD F150 AWD and want to level her out. I measured the clearance from the ground to the top of the wheel well openings and the back is 3" higher than the front. I am thinking of raising the front with a 2" or 2.5" kit. I have also read on here how new shocks that can do that for me. What is the consensus.. leveling kit or shocks? What brand is best?

    Thanks in advance,

shocks have no effect on raising ride height, all they do is slow the effect of the springs to make the ride more comfortable, springs hold the truck up. Do you mean spring spacers/new springs?

If your plan is to put bigger wheels & tires on there then lift the front or lift the front & rear to level it out...as for what to use for this, I don't know.

If your plan is to keep the stock wheels & tires then drop the rear or drop the rear & front. Dropping can be done with many kits and depends on how you want to drop it...I would think a kit that does a 2/4 or even a 2/5 drop would do the trick. Most of us who drop our trucks do it by changing out the coils, upgrading our shocks, using drop shackles for the rear, and changing out the bump stumps.

Not sure if he is still on the boards, but I think "wwldman" had an 08 and did the best looking drop to level it out that I have seen. Here are some threads with probably good info and pictures

    Exactly. ^^^^^^
If you want it to look higher raise the front. If you want it to look lower. Lower the rear.

I had done this modification to my 07 HD F150 and ruined multiple half shafts up front and ball joints, I ended up taking the 2.5 inch kit off. Please let me know if this happens to you because I miss the look of that leveling kit.

How's the levelling kit working. Have you had any issues. Getting ready to do the same plus bigger tires.

Good job, looks nice and level now. Love the color scheme.

I think on the next set of tires I would try and find a taller sidewall.

Low profile tires on a lifted truck looks kinda weird.

I prefer them lower, but it does look better than stock with the new stance!

What brand of levelling kit did you go for? Also, are those aftermarket rims? It looks like something I saw earlier on 4wheelonline.
