Is there any benefit, either lower or better ride wit removing springs from the leaf pack? I searched and found nothing

I removed the overloads but that's it. I wouldn't remove any others because it will alter the ride quality negatively. Becomes a spring board with absolutely no payload capacity. You'll also find the bump stops a lot easier.

you're better off lowering with shackles first if you haven't yet. Less work, same ride quality, same payload capacity.
Not sure if you ever plan on tracking it or not; but Ive seen a few have issues with wheel hop on launch when removing a leaf pack. Not stiff enough to keep the rear on the ground.
Of course I have shackles and hangers
Yes, on a HD, hangars suck ***! Been there done that, not again. The body mount is right next to the hangar, making it difficult to get a grinder in there to knock the rivets down. If you have an air chisel, it would be much easier.
My current truck has Hotchkis springs and 2" shackles. Pretty low, without the pain in the ***. More $$ though for springs vs. hangars.
Yea true...
I just cruise it, No track days. I really just was wanting a cheap(free) way to reduce the tire to fender gap in the back
lol, yeah, not really anyway to do it free, cheap is shackles, but IMO they're not enough...ie:
Shackles only:

Better with Springs and Shackles:

I like my shackles and Hotchkiss TVS too. A very nice combo!
