    2000 hd

I bought this 2000 F150 HD Edition off of the show room floor in 2000
Since then I have put over 175000 miles on it
I was intended from the start as a daily driver
I have a couple of questions for those in the know......
I use to have a bra for it.....I thought the brand was "Corbin" and it was a great product with covers even for the mirrors
But I can't find that brand online.....any suggestions for a great bra for my truck would be appreciated.
And now I want to drop it 2". How much should I expect to pay for this drop ( front and rear )
    Any issues with the drop?

    Welcome to the NHTOC!

Wow, lucky you, an original owner. That's cool that you had the first ever HD truck from its birth.

As far as the bra goes, I have heard of Corbin from other members on here before.

A quick search only showed brands LeBra for $69 or CoverCraft for $99.

For the drop, the cheapest solution is probably to cut the front coils $0 and use shackles in the rear <$100, otherwise you will get into drop spindles and different leaf packs which will get more expensive. You can do a search in the suspension threads and find out more for your preferences.

Lots of stuff on here and I'm sure the other guys will chime in soon and offer advice. Enjoy!

2" drop spindles up front will retain the same ride quality and is the best way to lower the front end. I think belltech makes them.

the rear can be dropped very easily with shackles to get a 2" drop, JLP makes a good set.

both of those can be done by yourself in your driveway with a typical toolset and jack/jackstands.

    WELCOME to NHTOC!

Let's see some pics of your truck.

    ... ...

If I'm not mistaken, Corbin makes motorcycle seats and accessories.
I think the company you may be referring to is Colgan Custom Bras.

    They also make mirror bras.

Yes that's right, Colgan not Corbin for the bra.

LOL, after just getting my bike I've been on the web searching around for a different seat and had Corbin on my mind!

BTW - Corbin seats are very good quality but they are hard like a horse saddle. My fav is Mustang Seats (w/backrest) for comfortable riding.

Colgan Customs is the ones who made the bra for the HD truck, at least originally. They were the only ones out there with one for years. A guy named Reggie used to have them made.

Not many original owner HD guys out there! Very cool you've had it this far along. Any major maintenance the last 14 years and 175k miles? How's that 4R70W trans holding up?

For the drop, swap to bilstein shocks, cut 1 coil off the front, and install a set of JLP 2-3-4" shackles on the rear. Easy install, and will get you a 2" drop all around.
