Dont do shackles unless you plan on taking off the bed, heard thats the easiest way to do it. New shackles are cheap and easy, also if you want to get rid of yours, I may know someone....

Don't need to take off the bed for shackles. Just need jack and jack stands and 2 wrenches. Now hangers you may need to take off the bed for access.

I meant hangers, haven't done them myself but seems to be not worth it until you are going real low

If you're going really low then its time to think about a 4 link and bags along with big C notch. I have Hotchkis 3" springs + the Belltech 3" shackles on the 1 1/2" setting and am trying to find a strong small C notch myself, I want to be able to tow a boat later & don't want to cut into the bed, but for right now I just want to stop hitting the bump stops.

For the front I am about the same as SR81, 2" BT Spindles and no ISO's, but I am on 275/45's. I do rub now -again with the ISO's removed- on BIG bumps...and I can't turn all the way to lock in either direction cause the tires hit the sway bar upfront.

My truck is sitting at 15 1/4" Front and 16" rear.
Anyways, here are a couple pics of my filthy truck as it sits right now (just took these pics about 10 minutes ago).

You don't take the bed off for hangars. They are under the back of the cab, with a cab mount right next to em which makes it a pain in the arse to get a grinder in there to grind the rivets down. I wouldn't do it again unless I had an air chisel.

Bilstien L spec shocks on all 4 corners are all you need. Its what I have on my truck, and I couldn't be happier.

If you gonna lower the back 4" -get some shock extenders, though they aren't technically required until you are more than 4" drop in the back, you'll only have about 1 1/2" of travel till your shocks bottom out w/out the extenders (which is when your axle hits the bump stops anyways).

yeah if you want more than 2-3" drop in the rear from shackles, it's worth the investment for leaf springs, vs. doing it with hangers.
