Now Sound in the ads on this forum???

Is anyone else getting sound from the ads shown on the pages here?? I keep getting this really annoying ad for the movie Noah, which I kind of wanted to see, but now I'm so annoyed at these ads, I just might not.

Anyways, seems it started today, and being a paid member I didn't think I would be subjected to these kind of ads, though I haven't seen these kinds of ads on any other forums either. There is a mute button on them but when I hit it its like the sound doubles up and plays over itself but off time. I can deal with a few ads, but these are obnoxious. Can you stop these Doug?

I am not sure where this started, I ran a malwarebites and found nothing on my machine, but yesterday I started getting ads that I couldn't mute.

I know that I had it mainly happen here, but this morning I got it even on LR. But based on Blind and Blair's comments I found a pretty nice Add On that kills all ads. Everywhere. FTW!!!!

As I have discussed numerous times with Doug, I don't think members should see ads, but, that got me nowhere.

I can see both side of this argument. I agree with you on one hand, however- operating a business at a loss is a very painful thing to do. the few ads we see ease that pain for him some. I too would gladly pay a little more for less or no ads, but I don't think many others really would. Even if all of the current members paid say twice as much, my bet is this site would still operate at a loss...so now after I have seen the light, my advice is to google search for an ad blocker add on for whatever browser you use. I'm tellin' you its the best thing since sliced bread!
