    Auxillary Port

Wanting to add an aux port to my stock stereo and not wanting a FM modulater or the PIE interface that cost $75. Here is my thought and see if it make sense. On the back of the head unit there is a connector for the CD changer. There is a CD right and left signal IN and a CD right and left signal OUT. Could a person take a Line Input Converter and add it to the Line in signal which would create two rca outlets then plug in a RCA cord that has a 3.5mm jack on the other end to plug into your cell phone or Ipod. Will this work...has anyone done it

I think he is talking about an Escape radio. I think they had a factory AUX port.

Not sure, you sould try two line taps and two wires to a single female jack. Then use a patch cable from the cell phone/iPod to the female jack.
It "sounds" like it might work. You may/may not get a hum. If so, you'll possibly need a line filter. It is worth a try. Let us know your results.
