I always start with the least aggressive method products/pads first.
I suggest using the Megs microfiber discs and D300. I think you'll like it.
Megs mf discs a D300 really does a nice job removing swirls. Much cleaner and easier than M105
Like the foam pads. Priming and keeping the mf discs clean are very important to achieving a good finish.

Have you read the Kevin Brown Methods?
Yes, I researched the Kevin Brown Method online before I started doing this (I think you may have mentioned it in a past thread). I have primed the pads per his instructions and keep a spray bottle of distilled water on hand to lightly spray the surface to reactivate the polish. Cleaning the pads properly does take some practice. My PC stops dead sometimes when I use a brush to clean. I found that doing this at speed setting 6 works best for me. Is this correct or should I be doing it at a lower speed? In some cases, I have used 2 pads, one on each side of the vehicle.

Meguiar's DA Microfiber Correction Compound D300 - 16 oz | Free Shipping Available - Detailed Image

I'm guessing this the whole kit?

    Amazon.com: Meguiar's DMC5 5" DA Microfiber Cutting Disc, (Pack of 2): Automotive

Looks like there's another kit with the same mentioned above with 2 cuttng pads, 2 finishing pads, Compound, finishing wax, and apron... Amazon has it for $65 with free shipping.. not a bad deal...

    thanks

The "kit" includes a 5" backing plate that has been tested by Megs to work together with their microfiber discs.
I'm not sure if I'm a big fan of D301. I'd probably go from D300 to Carpro Reflect for clarity after the D300/mf combo.

Actually no, Reflect is a finishing machine polish to achieve high gloss and clarity. Reflect is a fine jeweling polish.

Last Step Products (LSP) are different. LSP's can vary from wax, to sealants to coatings. Looks vs. Longevity

do you prefer a wax over a sealant... I've recently switched about 2 years ago from a wax final step to a sealant (blackfire)... stuff works great...

So D300 and Reflect a great combo?

I've been using BLACKFIRE Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection since it was Proper Auto Care (PAC) before AG purchased it.
I like two coats of BFWD AFPP followed with BF Midnight Sun Ivory Carnauba Paste Wax for that trademark "Wet Ice over Fire" shine.
To Create: Two coats of BFWD AFPP sealant 8 hours apart. Wait another 8 hours for the second coat to cure. Top with BF Midnight Sun.

    Don't just turn heads...Create Whiplash!

D300 and the Megs mf discs are a great mild swirls remover. Reflect with a Lake Country Gold 5.5" CCS or LC 5.5" Hydro-Tech Crimson for jeweling.
