Call Brad at bgracing.com He may be able to help
Ok thanks. Any recommendations on headers? Besides bassani
Arh seems the getting popular.
Contact Kenneth Paschall (Spy98der1 on nhtoc)...but he is also on the Facebook pages. He is selling his 8 thread heads...I would pick those up and then just have them port & polished, that is what I did with my truck for its built motor. I had kris starnes do the port & polish and we make 650lbs torque on pump gas at 18lbs.
www.modularmustangracing.com sells ported brand new ford 2v heads with brand new cams for ~$1250 for the pair, they also sell trickflow heads if you want to make even more power.
I went with the OBX longtube headers on my truck and they have been great, decently cheap on eBay. I did re-use the original manifold studs for most of the bolts, had to buy o2 harness extensions, and used stainless walker/dynomax 2.5" exhaust clamps to hook them up to the stock catback.
2002 DSG HD #09617 NHTOC Truck of the month November 2012
Ported eaton/plenum/tb, 6lb lower, SCT BA-2600 MAF, OBX longtubes, JLP intake, FTVB, L-spec bilsteins, Hotchkis TVS, 22" replicas. Tuned by Ray McClelland of FTK
I had talked to Kenneth already he said they needed to be taken to a machine shop it needs cam caps and align bore? ?
Thanks Blind I was wondering if I needed an 02 harness extension. Just 1?
Where could I buy an extension
Yeah because I didn't get them with cam caps , although not a big deal because you can take them off your existing heads but the shop needs to re align everything
JLP COMP-R, LFPVB, 6# Lower 2.93 Upper
Hotchkis TVS, Polished C&L plenum & elbow, SBTB, JLP intake
Do you still have them
Yup
Ok thanks I was just going to ask you again because the ones I ordered or out of stock so I guess I'll go with obx. Any other headers you might recommend?
Cnc port.com does a great job.
Also, //www.proweldperformanceparts.com
have had friends use both. Both had great results.
