    Question

I've been wanting to switch to synthetic oil for a while now, my truck is about to hit 90k and I'm still on standard oil. Would it be alright if I make that switch?

switch if you feel the need to spend more on oil, or go for longer time between changes.

    Question

Speaking of, I've been wondering about a similar issue. How often should I change the oil in mine? I bought her in November and have only put ~1,500 miles on her since, but I haven't changed the oil yet. Should it be changed every 6 months? 3 months? Not sure when to change it as she gets driven so infrequently (maybe once a week) She has 76,XXX miles on her.

6 months or 3k on normal oil, I'd maybe push to 9 months and 5k on synthetic. Unless all the driving you do is short trips, in that case 6 months even with synthetic is as long as I'd go.

Driving long enough to get up to normal running temp for an extended time is the only way the oil can burn off the excess condensation that forms inside the oil passages while the truck is sitting.

You will be fine. At 85,000 miles I switch to full synthetic oil and no regrets.

I switched about a year ago and I felt a difference in the way the truck performed and I liked it

I'm a big fan of Mobil 1™ Extended Performance 5W-20 with a M1-210 oil filter.

Always ran full synthetic. I like the ford motorcraft oil. Been running that in my built motor since it went in the truck

I made the switch about a year ago. I use Mobil 1 advanced full synthetic 5w-20. I like it. I was wanting to go to amsoil cause I've read a lot of reviews and it was pretty much the best
