I have spent the last year trying to get someone (anyone) to make illuminated scripted doors sills.

I was recently looking some more, and I finally decided to try to make some on my own.
If you are interested please post your name in this thread and I'll keep you informed of my progress.
I decided to use some new recent technologies. Please post you name below if you're interested.
How many folks are interested? Let me know if you have an interest. Let's start a fresh list.

If I'm not mistaken the door sill sizes on the 03 are:
    2" x 29" Front
    2" x 19" Rear

    I'll start making a list.

Just a few ideas I'm currently toying with...

Not Lighted - Chrome diamond plate pattern

Lighted Blue - Carbon Fiber pattern

Lighted Green - Carbon Fiber pattern

Lighted Red - Carbon Fiber pattern

Lighted White - Gloss Black - Front (The brightest)

The Blue should look something like this...It will be lighter when lit.

This is what I know so far...

Many of the technologies I'm wanting to use are very new.
I'm still getting pieces and parts and evaluating the results.

I'll keep you posted with my prototype progress...
I ordered a lot $$ of different products today for evaluation.
(...some have not even been released on the market yet.)

My plan is not a standard knock-out with a square LED brick in the center.
What I'm currently shooting for is a complete one piece custom made door sill.

I'm working very hard to keep the pricing affordable. So far prices are all over the board.
One technology I looked at today was $130 for the light alone in each door sill!!!
That's just for the light! Not to mention the actual door sill, lettering, finishing, fabrication etc.
Another technology allows illuminated animated graphics in the full 2"x29" front door sill.
(It was kewl to look at but...it's a bit costly. No, it is not feasible in these prototypes)

I also ordered (Shhh...) a special secret addition to add that is way too kewl to even discuss.
...all this technology has to be tried and tested too see what's going to work in the real world.

Again I'll let you know more as I have tested and evaluated these new technologies...
