Very nice. Wonder what it would look like without the bar and shield?

Yes just like that.
These two are the first prototypes I'm making.
I'll post some real pics as soon as they're ready.
Not Lighted - Chrome diamond plate pattern
The non lighted one should be done by the early part of next week.
It won't look "exactly" like the pic. I'm hoping it'll look even better.
For a replacement sill, this will be the least cost & least install time.
Lighted Blue - Carbon Fiber pattern
The Lighted Blue-Carbon Fiber pattern is my personal choice.
I have the lighting on order so this one will take a bit longer.
The lighting is very different so I'm not sure how it'll look yet.
I hope it meets or exceeds my "look" and install expectations.
SIDE NOTE:
In my case, I'm going to do the illuminated door sills in both the front & rear.
FYI - A while back I did the courtesy lights so I already have rear door wiring.
For the folks that only do their front doors...that wiring should be pretty easy.
REAR: The dome light comes on with the back doors. You just need sill wiring.

I like the lighted blue/carbon fiber as well. My personal preference would be to have a lighter/dimmer blue then the picture. Can't wait to see the progress pics.
While performing my LED conversion, I discovered that I had no lighting in the front doors, nor the rear doors. Just have the stock reflectors which is still safe when opening the doors while parked next to a curb at night. I'll Perform a search to see how to rectify this.
Currently have converted the dome (lights over the front console) and the rear lights (above the doors). I really like how much light I now have using the new lights. VLED's are super bright!
03's didn't have lights in the reflectors. That's easily done with 194 sockets. The punch out is in the door behind the reflector. Does your dome light come on with the doors?
I was once told the wiring was in the doors but FoMoCo didn't put in lights. Sadly, I was never able to find the wire hence the leads to the passenger kick panel.
Sure when it's done it will be cool Merlin. We have faith that you will put out a good product.
