    alignment question

Went to Firestone to have my truck aligned. I lowered it with belltech 3in springs, first I asked them to align it with lightning specs. They said they couldn't because they type the vin# in the machine and thats what they go by. Well here is what he got me to.Do you think this is good or will I need to try to do a lightning spec alignment. Thanks

    Left side
    -1.0º camber
    7.0º caster
    0.01º toe

    Right side
    -0.4º camber
    7.8º* caster
    0.03º toe

That's odd? The Firestone by me originally did my 03 to the SuperCrew specs. I told 'em I wanted it done to L specs.
The guy went back and did it to the L specs. I saw both sheets. There were differences but they appeared minor.

^^^ Same here. I use Firestone as well (lifetime alignment) they had no problem doing mine to Lightning specs.

I'd go back. That's a pretty weird camber and toe setup, are you sure those aren't the 'before' numbers?

Since you're lowered you may need to purchase a set of adjustable camber bolts for the front end to get it aligned properly.

Here are lightning specs from our "How To's"

Specified range for 1999-2002 F-150 SVT Lightning

    Left front Right front

-1.20 degrees to 0.20- Camber Same

5.70 degrees to 7.70- Caster 6.20 degrees to 8.20 -Caster

-0.18 degrees to 0.08- Toe Same

Cross Camber -0.70 degrees to 0.70

Cross Caster –1.20 degrees to 0.20

Total Toe –0.35 degrees to 0.15

    Preferred:
    LH Caster 6.7
    RH Caster 7.2
    LH Camber -0.5
    RH Camber -0.5
LH Toe -0.05 (slight toe in)
    RH Toe -0.05 (same)

    Lightning Owner autocross preferred specs:
    LH Camber -0.7
    RH Camber -0.7
    LH Toe OUT 0.05
    RH Toe OUT 0.05

Your numbers look to be in range. Even though, I would keep an eye on inner tire wear. Lowering changes the geometry and handling.

Just out of curiosity, what would be the benefit of requesting to have your alignment set to L specs instead of SuperCrew?
