Killed my 2002 Motor...more like it is killing me...

I've not been a regular over the past few years... The only upgrades I did to my truck was a 6# lower and tune from Mark at LFP a few years ago. Completely safe setup. I had my cruise set at 75 rolling down I-55 and it went kaboom. 116K miles and well maintained spotless truck.

I am engine shopping. I would appreciate any and every advice.... I use it as an occasional driver and do not race it. I have looked at a couple of used Lightning engines, but am a lil uneasy about a used performance motor...

    Thanks,
    Kevin

Damn, what let go, a rod maybe? I just blew my right head gasket, but I was racing a 2010 6.2l Silverado and pushed it to 110 m.p.h.

I had my cruise set on 75mph. It blew up. I get a twich close to oil change times and just lean on it on occasion. I was hauling my puppies to the vet's office ... they got to see a tow instead of the vet...

I need motor buying advice. I am leaning toward a block with my intake and frontside stuff.
2002 black HD - 2" drop, otherwise stock.

I am looking for advice on my motor. It is sitting at a shop and I am trying to decide on a 40K Lightening motor...or a block for $1K less and plug my externals on. New block has a 2K warranty...
