It's looking good...(as long as I tilt my head to the left)
Where did you get the foam cannon?!?!?
#8022 L&S oil separator, color matched tailgate handle and license plate bulb covers . Fog light mod ,Venom mod , JLP CAI and JLP rear shackles for a 3" drop out back. More to come.......SOLD ...........no more to come.
That flash pad is very coarse is that normal? Merlin could you take a video or a picture of how much product you put on your pad before working
Yes, that is normal. It is a different kind of pad foam.
Some folks mist it with a little water to soften it up but I don't. It works fine as is and finishes nice.
Some pads (open cell foam vs. closed cell foam) needs to be primed before use.
I don't normally prime the flash pad. On a 5" pad I use about 3-4 dime to nickel sized spots.
Short version: 5" Carpro flash pad with M101 followed by 5" Carpro Gloss pad and Carpro Reflect.
Have you read the Kevin Brown Method papers?
Nope but will now thanks !
Ok here is the final outcome. Washed the truck. then iron x soap dried it, nano skinned the hood with coarse then fine. was looking good Used car pro eraser then dried it after all that it all came out. Like a girl you meet at the strip club then she gets into the daylight!!!! The clear coat is fracturing or splintering if you will has little fine white lines. I know that is it because i have a neglected jeep and its clear coat is splintered as well. guess its off to the body shop
Are you talking day shift or night shift?
Are you sure they are on the surface clear coat?
Some 200x HD's had the notorious "crows feet".
This is a known problem with the Ford OEM paint.
Please describe what the paint defects look like.
Can you feel it? Can you take pictures of it?
I can try to get pictures all i have is a iphone. They are white straight very very tiny lines. No you cannot feel it which makes me believe they are below the clear coat. my jeep is the same way
I have a question about the cquartz consumer version. once applied and cured does it stop water spots ? If the truck gets rain water on it its fine but if i hit it with the garden hose its horrible after drying. Im not using a shammy or bath towel i have a good drying towel i got from car pro usa. and ive tried the chemical guys jet seal not very impressed because it advertises no water spots !!
