Dont forget you will need around 8-9 qts of fluid too. Did you get a new filter?

You don't have to just for the VB. But if you do you will need the 4x4 filter also.

Its common to use the 4x4 pan for extra fluid capacity and the addition of a drain plug. Its a cheap alternative to an expensive aftermarket pan. Its not a necessity of course. Like mentioned, just make sure you have the correct filter if you do use it.

Been in Florida this past week on vac. No internet. I have the proper wrench, 8 quarts of tranny fluid, the filter comes with the valve body from a1. The pan is a moroso. Gonna tackle it one day this week I hope. Btw, I got over 14mpg on the trip down with cruise set on 80. It exceeded my expectations. I think it was Chris at a1 that recommended the moroso pan. he said it wouldn't stick down as far.

Ive got a question about shifts. Does it always chirp second gear all the time or just when your hard on the throttle. If your driving conservatively does it chirp the tires

I wouldn't say that. It doesn't chirp the tires unless your on the gas a bit; but it certainly doesn't compare to a stock transmission. I know its there every time I drive, hard or not.

My A1 under normal conditions is not like a stock one. Tons quicker and harder.

They are both good. Call Brad at bgracingparts.com for the A1. The number on the page is his cell phone. Great people to deal with.
