2002 Harley F150 with 146K Miles, Fully Built Engine, and Lots of Upgrades

For Sale is a 2002 Ford F150 Harley Davidson Edition #4930 with 146K on the Odometer. The Truck Runs but has a bad cylinder wrist pin. The fully built Motor has 0 driving miles on it. The Rims and tires are in bad shape, but there is a new set of tires in the bed of the truck. The Interior of the truck is in Good Condition with lots of updates. The Exterior of the truck needs some minor body work, and a new paint job. Lots of scratches in the clear coat which could be buffed out, but some down to metal/fiberglass. It would probably be easier to replace the bumpers than to repair all of the dings and repaint. 1 dent in the roof, and 1 dent in the passenger rear door.

4 Years ago I blew a head gasket, and put the truck up to save money for build. 3 years later after collecting the parts, and saving up for the build, the engine builder screwed up, and wanted to charge me for his mistake. From the list of mods below, you can see how much work has gone into the truck.
There is a lot of potential, but the motor needs to be pulled to fix the problem. Asking $10, 000

That sucks. I had the same thing happen to me with a 99 Cobra build. Sold everything

Hey man, if you still have the truck, what's wrong with the motor?

One of the Cylinders has a knock when firing. If I unplug the injector or coil the knock stops. The builder thinks it was a bad wrist pen. There is a chance that everything is fine, and engine just needs to be torn down to fix the problem. Worst case scenario, the knock caused a cylinder wall scratch, and you would have to re-sleeve the cylinder since its already .020 over bored, and/or replace the piston/rod + the rebuild. The current motor has less than 1 driven miles on it. Wit

This would be an ideal project for a do it yourselfer who could rebuild the engine themselves. whoever get the truck is getting it at a steal at 8k since the mods alone = close to 8k.

I had 2 builders on this engine. The first one built the lower end, and screwed up the timing, and broke a valve. the second builder tried to cut corners and never rebuilt the shortblock, so its really the first builder's mistake. I should have taken it to the second builder from the start and paid the extra, but he wouldn't admit to his mistake in not rebuilding the shortblock himself. So i am stuck with the truck as is. Home renovations are a bigger priority than modding my old truck.

If your interested we can make contact by phone.

    Thanks

Just a thought. Would you make more money parting it out ?

I probably could, but i am not hurting for the money, which is why 8k is as low as i am going, and the hassel of pulling and shipping the parts isnt worth it to me. I just dont want to put anymore into it, and i want the space back in my garage for a pair of jetskis.

With what these trucks are going for with the built engines, this thing is a steal at 8k for the parts alone. If your already planning on spending 16-18k on one of these trucks, you could buy this one, and have 8-10k to fix, and mod it to your tastes. Especially so for someone who could rebuild the engine themselves.

Rman, If you still have this truck, PM me and I will give you my phone so I can talk to you about it. I sent you a PM a couple days ago and I just checked my sent messages and it isn't showing up. Looks like the last two PMs I sent just disappeared into thin air.
