How did it sound with that sub? I have that box with a Mmats sub. Sounds ok, but I want more.

I'm not a big audio guy, I listen to Howard Stern 99.9% of the time, but for me it sounded great when I did listen to my classic rock, modern rock, alternative.

As indicated by the ad and pictures its a Massive TW12. The audio/video system was in the truck when I bought it in 2012. It looks like the Stealth Box oftentimes has the JL Audio speaker in it so I don't know why the previous owner made the swap.

Thanks for the insight guys . One the rare occassion I listen to music I do miss the added depth of the sub, but for my needs the third seat, particularly when folded down, is a good trade off.

I have looked at the specs and some reviews on this speaker, it has very similar specs as a JL 12w3v3 (what currently comes in the Stealthbox). I have yet to find a negative review on it as well.

Being that it was in the truck in 2012 when TJ bought the truck, I assume the PO replaced the original 12w3v2 (what used to come in the Stealthbox) much like the PO of my '03 did when he blew up the original speaker. The 12w3v2 was a far inferior speaker to the v3, and so in my opinion, although I never heard this unit, the numbers & specs tell me it is a decent sounding setup; comparable to the setup that JL is currently selling for $699.99 (if you can find one).

That all said, if I had the money liquid I would buy this for my '02! GLWS TJ

Ya, I'm looking into changing my sub. Just have to match the correct air space.

Anyone ever had the issue of the original speaker making a popping sound kinda like thunder? I heard it could be the speaker then I heard it was the head unit and something with the volume or something along those lines... anyone have an idea? or had the same issue?

Kind of like thunder?... as in a possible blown speaker?

Also, is this the same Benny I met on the Depot (MCRD San Diego) and that attended a few JBA Coffee & Car events and Race Legal events with some of us other SoCal L/HD owners?
