Punisher Valve Body - Street Version

The Punisher Valve Body just arrived!

This is a mod I have been wanting to do for a long time.

I'm going with the F81Z-7A194-BA Transmission pan and Filter YC3Z-7A098-BA
This one is a stock pan with a bottom drain plug. It holds 1.5 more qts of fluid.
Yes, I'm still interested and looking for the elusive M-7195-T Ford Racing pan.

I know Harley_deville recently did a Punisher VB and is happy. See: New toy

I just got it and don't have it installed yet. I'm really anxious to do this mod.

    Anything I should know?

    Excellent!

Make sure your tune has OEM transmission line pressure shift points and that it hasn't been altered electronically to increase the pressure for it to shift faster and harder.

...make sure you order tires now!

Picked up a couple more parts today...

I thought it was Pan: F81Z-7A194-BA and Filter: YC3Z-7A098-BA

Was this supposed to be a FT-105 or FT-114?

Ford 4X4: Holds about 1 quart over stock.

All that's left now is a little time and a lot of fluid...

NOTE: Still looking for a M-7195-T Ford Racing aluminum tranny pan. It holds about 4 quarts over stock.

What happens if your not at OEM transmission line shift points? I installed my A1 valve body and I believe my tuner did make my shifts much firmer than stock.

That's what keeps me smiling when I hear my tires or my belt slip when it shifts

TMK The transmission line pressure shift points have not been altered.
I have the same Diablosport Predator Tuner U7158 as SamanthaHD.

Typically the squealing belt you hear when it shifts is the accessory belt slipping. So a MP bridge wont help for that.

OK folks I found a BIG MISTAKE in post #3

In the posts above I mentioned the filter part # YC3Z-7A098-BA as the companion filter for the F81Z-7A194-BA deep pan.

If you look at the picture in post #3 you'll see the part # the dingle ball at the parts counter gave me is a different part number.

I'm still trying to correlate the Ford part numbers to FT-105 or FT-114. Any thoughts?

Is the YC3Z-7A098-BA the same as the FT-114?

I'd have to wait until I get home and look up my invoice but I think you need the FT-114.

You basically have to tell them to give you the filter for a 2003 F250 4x4 Super-Duty Diesel that uses the same 4R100 automatic transmission because they come with an OEM deep pan.

I got the Punisher Valve Body installed today. I'm still getting used to the "feel" of the shift point slam but I am really liking it so far!!!

A friend of mine, that lives close and works at a Ford $tealership installed it for me...He said "It's a messy job. A lift makes it easier".

He did not disconnect the battery during the install. I asked him to disconnect the battery for at least 5 minutes after the installation.

Besides unhooking the battery for 5-10 minutes the KAM was cleared...

"Disconnect the battery; turn the lights on for 5 minutes (yes the lights won't come on)
This will clear the Keep Alive Memory (KAM) that stores the learned shifting strategy."

What I did find is that all my presets, stations, time etc. were gone and needed to be reset.

The question I have is...He wanted to reflash. I did not let him plug into the tuning ODB-II.
Thank goodness I have a "Do Not Flash" ODB-II Port Plug so he asked before doing a reflash.
There is a possible risk of... "can result in a damaged or disabled ECU (Engine Control Unit)".

With just the battery disconnected and KAM cleared...Does the loaded tune stay in the ECU?
