    Toyo proxes st or stll

They have a good deal on tread depot for 295/45. Which tire is better! The proxes st or stll?

    St are 131
    Stll are 150

Neither! Toyo tires are garbage. I've had three fail on me at different times.

    Sorry to hear that Rich.

I currently have both the ST and the STII's.

Let me say the ST's on my '03 are garbage. I have them in the 295/45 as well they have no traction dry and even less in the wet.

The STII's on the other hand I am very happy with so far. Also 2958/45 on my mainly stock '02. Great wet and dry traction, the sidewall is free from the "corduroy" sections so the dressing can get a nice even coating too. I don't have a ton of miles on them yet as I have only had them about a month, so I can't tell you about tread wear, but I can tell you they are a nice quiet tire with good all around traction.

When my '03 needs some new drive tires, I will be getting another pair of the STII's.

I'd stay away from the ST's if you find them. They haven't been manufactured for about 6 years or so now. Every since the STII's came out. I wouldn't want to purchase a tire that's been sitting on the rack for that long.

Granted I did like my STII they had pretty good traction even with 600+hp. But to develop a bubble out of no where? The st blew out, and I had a set on my old eclipse and it lost a section of tread. As I've said before, I'll never own another tire from toyo

I have done the research and most recommend the STII or the hankooks.

Having seen both in person on a regular basis, I disagree. They look great and are functional to boot.
