Question about the need for new mass air with biger pully

I have tried searching but can not find much. Ive seen a few times where guys say you need a bigger mass air or an extender if you put a 6# + lower pulley on. I am getting ready to install the metco 8# lower and was wondering if I should get a new mass air meter. If so any opinions on the sct ba2600 or ba3000.

Yes, invest in the MAF upgrade if no other reason than cheap insurance. Buying one now may also so on the cost or retuning for one later if you find out you need one. You'll want to run the BA2600, it will be better for your power level.

Yes agreed, for the 8# lower I would recommend a larger MAF especially when your weather is a bit cooler.
