Swap alternator while SC/IC are off? Also turkey pan delete question.

110,000 mile truck. I have the SC and IC off cleaning them again. Any thoughts on going ahead and changing the alternator while I'm in there? Has anyone replaced one easily with Supercharger in place? Also I'm deleting the Turkey Pan Vacuum line and capping it but what do I do at the other end of the hose? Thanks!

The alternator can be replaced with the SC in place, it takes no time at all.

Most guys run an oil separator or catch can which circumvents the turkey pan line. Since you're plugging the turkey pan but intend to retain the factory PCV line you willneed to cap off the t-fitting for the turkey pan line. Or simply replace the line all together so you don't have to worry about a future vacuum leak.

I just replaced the T with a straight piece of plastic airline I had laying around. I still need to get an oil separator on it.

I finally got it off. Man was that a beast to get off. No way to get leverage on it hardly. I have an oil separator so it looks like i can just pipe it through that and eliminate the T.

I replaced my alternator once with no SC removal. Was easy.
