So as most of you know, the fires up here have been absolutely ****ed. multiple fires burning in multiple zones. Last Tuesday myself and 2 of my buddies decided at 5pm to load the HD up with fuel, link up with 2 other trucks and another convoy from the next town over and run fuel up to get people that were stranded off the side of the road and out of harms way.

we were on the road for 20 hrs on the fuel run, total time awake was 37 hrs on Tuesday. i did 3 convoy-runs up to fort mac(approx 470km's 1 way) 1 for the fuel run, 1 for animal rescue and the final run was to resupply firefighters and the crews with med-supplies to keep them goin(DEF, skin stuff, foot care, tampons, etc)

the HD never skipped a beat, ran flawlessly, got decent mileage, and most importantly - got the job done!

pics. these are from the animal rescue, wasn't able to get more - was too busy havin it rugged gettin the supplies to the line. We didn't do it for the thanks, the glory or any of that other crap, we did it because people were in need, and it HAD TO get done.

i put over 3thou km's on the truck in the course of 4 days, the front looked like a bug murder scene which took 2 car washes to get clean, and the interior still smells like a campfire.
