    Spark plug inserts

Ok so I think I have another spark plug getting ready to blow out of the head, is it possible to put the inserts in the head before the plugs blow out? I'm sure it has been done before but google was no help this time. Checked on Facebook and a guy said there might be something on here, but I wasn't sure where to look. Thanks in advance.

Yup you sure can. Even when they blow out, you still gotta hog out the hole when you prep it for an insert. So you'll just have more material to take out.

But what makes you think it's about to blow out? If it hasn't blown out, check the plugs and torque them to 25 ft lbs. and you should be good.

It seems to have a different sounding exhaust leak, if that makes any sense. Thank you for the answer

When the plugs loosen up, you will hear a ticking noise. So yeah, re torque them and hopefully all will be well! No point in messing up good heads if there is no damage yet.
