    Plastic welding

I want to recover my silver inserts in my door panels, I took the drivers panel off and the inserts are plastic welded behind it, anyone know how to separate them and reattach them after I get them covered?? Thanks.

Weller soldiering gun with a flat tip will cut and reattach, you may need a little filler plastic for reattachment because they maybe a little shorter after removal. https://www.amazon.com/WELLER-7135W-...ring+iron+tips I use the smoothing tip to plastic weld you can use filler material and make a very solid weld. If you need something strong you can embed some stranded wire or other material. these will fix any type of plastic. https://www.amazon.com/50-Piece-Plas...c+welding+rods
