    Power steering help

Hello, At idle I would have no power steering. It is bearable to drive. Just parking would have to pull steering wheel hard or rev engine. Today decided to replace pump and bought a remanufactured pump turned steering wheel left to right about fifty times and have no power steering at all. What could be the problem? Anyone had this before? is there a fliter someplace? advice?

    Thank you for replying.
The hoses cant be mixed. One is clamped and the other is screwed in. I think the rebuilt pump is defective. Will do a pressure test.

Ok finally got it working.... Returned the power steering pump back to Oreilly's and got another. This time before installing the pump I primed it and turned the pulley to see if it would shoot out the high pressure side and it did. Primed it again and installed. Glad that is over...lol
