Hey everyone nice forum
Hey everyone nice forum
its nice but dead
Yes, sadly my 2003 HD Truck is now 17 years old.
For me, this forum is an invaluable resource.
Many folks that were highly active have abused these trucks.
They have added performance mods until they vented the block...
or they have traded (a while back) for a Raptor etc.
The folks that are still here have taken good care of their trucks.
The information that has been gathered on here is tremendous!
I agree the forum is an invaluable tool mostly for historic info and past owners of Gen 1s are far and few. between. Not many keep a 16, 17, or 18 year old truck.
I've still got mine, but at 200k miles with a few minor mods I spun a bearing. Opted for a built motor (Ford Racing Block) vice a new or nice used truck. #1 was pushing me to get another truck that he could get through his dealership at a good price.
I've got mine back. Didn't go with the Whipple 2.9 as the builder couldn't get it to "work" right. Believe there's some bad press on it based on folks who have it installed.
Waiting on a KB 2.6 to come in and then will get it installed. All in an attempt not to "mod beyond surb=vival capabilities of the motor.)
Blair- you still married and is she still washing your truck??
Yes I upgraded the pumps, injectors, Trick Flow Heads, tranny cooler, elec fans.

My mods are mostly cosmetic but I tried hard to keep the OEM stock feng shui.
Here is a web page on my truck http://qwksilver.com/hdtruck/mytruck.html
Here is a link to my "mods" list http://qwksilver.com/images/truck/mods.pdf
I miss the old days. Going to the Daytona FL meet made me fall in love with my truck all over. I need to dedicate more time to her. I have to drive up to Merlin for some detailing and possible body work.
yea not much activity here. I have an 02 hd w/ the works. I drove her yesterday to get a bath and noticed just how many dings and paint chips I have. She still shines up nicely but as stated these trucks are getting older. It's unlikely this forum will survive much longer as the likelihood of growth is unlikely.
