After drooling over JP's truck sunday, i gotta add some more TV's i was thinking the visor ones wouldn't be too bad to start. plus at shows i liked how he had them flipped out to the windows to get peoples attention if they were deaf and couldn't hear his system from 2 miles away

Anyway, anybody have any good links for TV's for the visors? Which brands are pretty good? I don't think i need very top of the line, but i don't want cheapo ones either. also what dimensions are usually good for the visor tv's.

Josh I have also been thinking about adding some more monitors. If you just want them for show you can go with something that's o.k.I have been thinking about ordering the Farenheits 7" widescreen for $237.00 each, then they have some Plye tv's 7.2" for $110.00.

    Pyle: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...gename=rvi:1:2

RON thats some good price's on the tv.josh i would not go with any thing smaller then a 7'' because the visor's are so big and it would look like you tv was swiming in it lol.josh when are you going to put up some follow up pics of the car show?

I'll definately have some pics up by the end of this week. Hopefully i'll get them resized tonight and posted tomorrow

Anyway, those Pyle's look right in my price range. Those are pretty decent monitors then? I won't really be using them for much else than shows and the occasional showing off in the parking lot to my buddy's

Now, how do they install? I'll probably order new visors so i don't have to cut up my stock ones ( i don't think they'll be that expensive cuz mine don't have homelink) but how do they mount? Will they mount right onto the visor? Or i noticed that you had custom fiberglass things molded for yours JP. I'd like to install them myself if i can.

And what about wiring. What all wires are involved? A ground, power, and one to the HU? anybody know what color wire it is of the Alpine HU's? or how does all that work?

Thanks for the help! I really wanna do this mod

Josh, red = 12v w/key, black= ground, maybe a remote wire... then an rca for video signal.. lol

be aware you may need a video signal amplifier to boost the alpine's video output as you add more screens.

Take the Yellow output of the Alpine (video out) to the signal amplifier (which Pyle sells too) then you can run up to 5 screens off the Alpine's output.

Pyle, Farenhiet, a screen is a screen until you hit $300 a screen then you are into TFT & semi-HD screens...

Thanks for the info. Can you put it in more of dummy terms though? ;t

Yellow output...would that just be a wire in the HU harness? or is that an RCA type cable plug thing?

I'll probably have to yank my HU again to find out, but i don't remember seeing any extra RCA's out of the back of my HU.

    Sure josh...

off the back of the alpine there will be a red 16ga wire... this is 12v with the key. Tap it for power for the monitors to turn on.

there will also be a black 16ga wire... this is the ground.

Then there wil be an RCA jack that is Yellow on its ring... this is the video out...

Run this to the amplifier then out to up to 5 monitors...

    Coool?

    Rob
