Josh, where is the one smilie guy shaking the other smilie-guy? LOL

The amplifier is a little silver box... it wires just like the monitors... 12v, ground, video signal in.... it can stash behind the radiom the glove box where ever... it is a "distribution" point for video signal.

    Let's try this...

on your home TV... you have a DVd or a VCR... let's say you want to send the picture to 4 TV's... you go out of the DVD or VCR into the amplifier then out to the 4 tv's.. make sense...

    Dinner time... more later.

I'm definately starting to believe that ;t You'd think i'd be happy with 1 TV, but noooo i gotta have 3 for that extra flash at shows
hmmm....a TV in the bed would look kinda cool too...LoL i'll save that for another time

So that thing in the link is what i'd need to hook up the visor TV's to my HU?

I pulled my HU out a few hours ago to look behind there,,,what exactly does the wire i need look like? I could find the black ground and red power, but the yellow RCA cable, my splitter is plugged into that one. and my PS and DVD is plugged into my splitter. Would that amplifier thing plug into that RCA on the back of the HU, then the splitter plug into the amplifier? Is that right? am i finally figuring this out?

Josh, you don't "have" to use the power and ground wires from behind the radio if ya dont want to.. er, or can't find them.;p

Just tap into your 12v Acc Power and use a Chassis ground up on the A-frame somewhere.

And if ya can, go with a good monitor like ICON.. more money, but completely worth it for the quality.

    Ahem, only 3 monitors? ;)

How much would a 7" or so icon monitor run for the visors? I don't have big cash right now to drop on monitors, so i was thinking around 150 max each for the tv's.

    and don't worry, i'm sure by the summer i'll have idea's for 2 or 3 more TV's ;t

I have 5.8 power acoustik monitors with 4 screen modes Aspect ratio 16:9 Res 1200(w)x234(h) for $174 from etronics. I think I'm going to takle this project on this weekend I'll let you no how it turns out.

i guess the others you mentioned will be fine then.. Cant touch ICON for that price, but its visors anyway, not like they will both be down to watch while driving anyway.

think ill try one of those video amps.. BUT with 5 monitors in the car, connected to the Alpine IVA800, i never had any weak signal problems................

lowpro22, PLEASE snap some pics and maybe do up a how-to on it. doesn't have to be the best, just to give me an idea of what i'm looking at. If and when i do mine maybe i can add into your how-to if i run into any other problems

Right now looks like i'll get those pyles off that ebay link. Hopefully it'll all go pretty easily. Waiting to hear back from Ayrton on PN's for new visors so i don't have to cut my stock ones.

So....nobody has any tips or pointers at all for doing a visor mount TV? even how it mounts to the visor etc or what i'll have to do to mount it

Thanks for all the help Can't wait to get this mod on its way
