I can try and snap a pic of what it looks like for ya if you want. Its like dull in a few spots on the shaft part. i'm sure its no big deal though, just needs some polishing
i'll have to pick up some of the Billet polish at pepboys next week if they carry it.

So what do you think. Are the parts s**t or what ???

As mentioned, if you are even slightly anal about the looks of your vehicle stay AWAY. They will drive you crazy trying to keep them looking super sharp. ;b

My wheel requirements really forced me to go with a custom wheel, so I will have to live with the maintenance, because there simply wasn’t anything available in chrome that would fit over the brakes. The few wheels I did find where either the wrong size or the style was not to my liking.

Ask me in 6 months how I like the wheels.

    Chris,

Worst case scenerio, if you don't like the up keep get the wheels anodized clear. No more worries.

OK, but there has to be a down side to this, or everyone would do it…. correct?

Yeah, the down side is, they won't shine as much. You could also have them powder coated in clear, but you get the same results.

I plan to try the Zoops seal to see what it's like. Since they make a ton of billet product, they know how bad it sucks to maintain it.

BTW- I know exactly why you had to go with billet wheels. My 82 Blazer has billet wheels for the same reason. Standard backspace won't tuck...

My front wheels stick out to far, and I am going to have the fenders rolled to accommodate this. The brakes combined with a 10’ wide wheel just sticks out to far to tuck the fronts, and I want to lower it another inch all the way around.

I am using S100 detail wax on the wheels, as I've grown fond of it from using on my bike... about 8-9 bucks at most bike dealers..

    hope this helps...
