Is that a metal medallion on your passenger side airbag? If so, wouldn't it act as a deadly flying projectile if you got in a wreck and the airbag exploded?

WIKID, i got it from Radio Shack. it was about 30 bucks. they had one that was more watts, and was more money, but i didn't need anything that powerfull. i think this one is 60 watts?

harleyhuze, thats the owner's emblem that the 00 HD's got. its stuck on with super stick double sided tape, and also the airbag is hinged (and split down the middle i believe) so hopefully it won't fly anywhere if anything like that ever would happen

i think it would stay put on the rubber, while the bag shot out.

funny how knowone ever mentions the BIG 'ol FORD oval on the steering wheel air bag!

Just mentioned it because I have never seen anyone do that.

The "big ol'" Ford oval on the wheel is a lightweight gel overlay, not a piece of metal.

I would think Ford's engineers and lawyers wouldn't put a gel overlay on the steering wheel airbag cover if there was even the "slightest" chance that it would fly off and kill someone or put their eye out.

As long as double stick tape is stronger than the instantaneous violent explosion of an airbag there is noting to worry about.

oh that makes it all better, cause it's "Ford Engineered!" LOL

the engineers were out to lunch on many angles of these trucks, lets hope someone was on the ball when it came to the saftey part..
