SS owners think we can be beat with a few mods

Hey guys, these SS guys are doing the whole "Harleys aren't that fast, a few mods and I can beat one" thing at Silverado SS.com. I am trying to get them to get SSs to go to Sacramento to race, but I have no takers. check it out at

What color Mach? We almost bought a red one, then we saw the DSG Harley sitting there smiling at us and it was a done deal! 1 Mustang per family is enough, you always need a truck!

I got a black one, they had a red one, 2 blue and the black one. They were all 03s and wanted to get rid of them so i got out of "Dodge". I am still in the honeymoon with the Mach, but I really like it. I have the DSG also, I have to say they look tough in that color. I put the lower tube grill on the lower vallance, looks great. Where you located?

We're between Dallas and Fort Worth Texas, small town called Hurst. Got a yellow vert GT and the DSG, we are a Ford family. Heck, I just thought about it, my parents have 2 Fords also.

I ran a brand new blue "ss" on the way home from Galveston on Sunday. I waited for him to accelerate to my back rear quarter panel ,then punched. At the same rate he was accelerating , when I punched it from 60mph ,I left on him at the same rate he was accelerating on me when @60 mph. After putting five lengths on him ,I slowed down ,but he turned going south on highway 146. I was impressed the the performance at wide open throttle response. I'm up for that challenge.

Two Words: BRING IT!!! I have already taken just about every truck out there including an L (I don't know what his mod list was, but I knew mine and figured why not--and did).

Atleast on a few occassions at that track, I've run against a Whipple supercharged regular Silverado(pissed off that he spent all the money and was barely in the 14s, nitrous powered Silverado (cool kid, still learning the ropes of modding), and a blue Silverado SS (he specifically went directly behind me in the lanes and told me he wanted to run me).

The results were all the same.
    Me getting the win light.

Don't the SS have more weight due to the AWD thing. Just because they spend all that money, and have those big "intakes" holes in the front, they think they can beat HD. Can they read? Ever article I have seen reinforces my purchase of the HD. Only a supercab L could change my mind.
